´The Qur´an is an eternal translation of the great book of the universe and translator of the various ´languages´ in which Divine laws of the creation and operation of the universe are ´inscribed; and it is the interpreter of the books of the visible, material world and the world of the Unseen... The Qur´an is both the Word of God as regards His being the Lord of the worlds, and His decree in respect of His having the title of the Deity of all creatures... The Qur´an is a heavenly book which contains in bief the Scriptures revealed to the previous Prophets in different ages; it is both a book of law, a book of prayer and ivocation, a book of wisdom, a book of worship, a book of commands and invitation, a holy book containing all the principles of happiness in both worlds...
´Divine Destiny exists so that the believer does not grow proud of his good acts by ascribing them to himself. Man has free will so that the rebellious carnal self does not rid itself of the consequences of its sins by ascribing them to Destiny...´
´Laws change according to ages. Prior to the Seal of the Prophets, upon him be peace and blessings, at times it happened that in one age different Prophets came to different peoples with different laws. After the Seal of the Prophets, however, since his most comprehensive Shari´a is sufficient for all the peoples in every age, no need has remained for other laws. Nevertheless, in secondary matters of the Shari´a, the need for different schools has remained to a degree.´
´The Companionship of the Prophet and being taught by him is such an elixir that one who is honoured with it even for a minute may receive as much enlightenment as another can in years of spiritual journeying.´
´Human ego is the key to the Divine Names. It is also, being itself a mystery and a wonderful talisman, the key to the mystery of creation... Ego contains thousands of states, attributes and perceptions, which disclose and make knowable to some extent the Divine Attributes and functions...´
´I am mortal but I do not want the mortal.
I am impotent so I do not desire the impotent.
I surrendered my spirit to the All-Merciful One, so I desire no one else.
I want someone who will remain my friend forever.
I am but an insignificant particle, but I desire an Everlasting Sun.
I am nothing in essence but I wish for the whole of creation.´
