Bediüzzaman Said Nursi (1877-1960) is one of the most influential thinkers of the modern era and a person of action who suffered deeply from the sorrows that have inflicted Islam and the whole of humanity. Not only did he interpret the present age accurately, but he also committed himself to his cause, dedicating his entire life to the service of the Qur'an.
