Why don't bears have tails? This Iroquois legend gives the reason. At one time, Bear did have a tail. He had a nice tail. But he talked too much about his tail. The other animals didn't like it. So Fox thought of a way to teach Bear a lesson. In the end, Bear lost his tail!
